So I downloaded this game for my phone called Cool Pizza.
It’s not what I expected but it’s so much fun… I can’t stop playing.

Hi! It’s been quite a while since we last spoke. COOL PIZZA came out four months ago, and Centrifeud a whole eight months ago. A lot has changed since then and we want to make a bit of it public.
First, the bad news — we’ve miscalculated a bit with regards to expense-of-living and it turns out that we have to pay a visit to the world of regular renumeration for a few months. Meaning, we are switching from full-time to part-time for a little while.
Also on the oh-crap front, our talented artist and designer has just headed back to the academy to become an even more badass artist and designer. Meaning, we are without his magic touch for at least a couple of years.
Taken together, that pretty well sucks! But hold, there is good news too.
This being our first time out, we didn’t really know what to expect from… anything, really. Benjamin F.’s note that “experience keeps a dear school” was written for us. What we found out was that putting our games into the world really collapsed the possibility wave — increased the surface area of our serendipity, if you will. While showing Centrifeud and COOL PIZZA, we met musicians, graphicians, designers, coders, and publishers; both from Atlanta and beyond; people who we would love to collaborate with. Indeed, the ball is entirely in our court in terms of putting together some great projects that do justice to the talent surrounding us.
And in another light, our pause is a bit of good news too. We’ll be ready to barrel into summer and fall full-steam ahead, with less of the maniacal scrambling-for-sanity that characterized this past year. We will also have a bit more time to share our works-in-progress with you, something we had little time to do in 2012.
Six months seems like a long time, but we are in this for the long run. Our work so far has been pretty cool, but five or ten years from now it’s going to be pretty really cool.
If nothing else, 2013 will be an interesting year for Secret Library. We hope you dig it!

As the App Store explains, Cool Pizza is about “a girl and her haunted skateboard” who “dive through the depths of the underworld, fighting devils and looking for answers.” But it’s not just strange, it’s also incredibly addictive — a challenging, arcade-style experience that has you travelling through a dark, beautiful world battling monochromatic monsters while riding a skateboard.

You need to stop what you’re doing right now and head to the iTunes app store to snag Cool Pizza, the latest from developers Secret Library. The gameplay is great and quite fluid, and the soundtrack is suuuuuper dope. Plus it’s FREE. Don’t take my word for it, have a look at the trailer:
